I’ve included a list of my favorite resources for guidelines and recipes for canning.
Here’s the National center for home food preservation website. https://nchfp.uga.edu/how/can#gsc.tab=0 they have loads of recipes and resources. (Don’t forget, when in doubt, go USDA!)
For those who prefer books, try https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/the-all-new-ball-book-of-canning-and-preserving-over-350-of-the-best-canned-jammed-pickled-and-preserved-recipes/11589718/item/16115170/
And those who love the old-fashioned feel, try https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/freezing-and-canning-cookbook-by-the-food-editors-of-farm-journal/8401697/item/11620601 (some of these recipes need to be updated, but I LOVE this cookbook in general).
I would LOVE to see any of you for my hands on classes this summer – or book your own canning or sourdough party! Just email me, visit Grace & Grit Gardens on Facebook, or go to my website, gracengritgardens.com.
If you have any questions, or want to share successes in preserving, please email me or reach out via social media. I truly enjoy food and the company of cooks. Loving food and people goes hand in hand!
